Will my dealer hassle me about a test pipe for service?

Hey guys I'm thinking about bringing my car in for service in a couple days for my 35k checkup. I have a test pipe along with the cel. Do you think the dealer will hassle me about? Is it worth taking it off before I go in (which I want to avoid if at all possible)? Thanks

Yeah i would take it off just incase they dont look at it and put a warrenty void out for engine mechanical problems for the future of the warrenty.

yes especially because you have a CEL. Without the CEL they may not have noticed but if there is CEL they will check to see what is causing it

depends if your dealer actually cares about mods, I would think they wouldnt care because you are not going in for a problem.... most dealers i know dont care if you have mods till you go in and a mod caused the problem

Why is cel on for the tp, are you not chipped???

2nd. You have a CEL. They'll hookup your car to their computer and pull codes. If the CEL points to something else like a loose gas cap, blown diverter valve, etc. they'll probably stop there. If your TP is causing the CEL, though, they'll probably do one of a couple things (a) tell you to take out the TP can come back (if mod friendly) or (b) talk to AoA and have a portion of your warranty voided.

At the very least, find someone with a VAG-COM and pull the codes to see what's going on. If it were me though, I would take out the TP before bringing the car in for service.
