    MAF problem?

    i just finished installing my new intake. i started the engine and it dies. when i disconnect MAF car starts without any problems ( i just get CEL and it runs pretty rich ;) . i didnt throw any codes before i put intake. can it be some problem with vacum hose ? please HELP .. i dont want to drive my car doing 17 mpg :(

    Do you have any programming in it? Revo, APR, etc? It sounds like you have a hose off after the MAF.

    turn the maf backwards , thats the problem, it happend to me, oh boi i felt like an idiot after figuring that out. ther will be an arrow on the maf which says which way the air is entering from lol.

    well . i didnt even touch MAF . i just conected intake pipe to it.. so thats not the problem . .

    So all you did was remove the stock airbox and install a filter? Sounds like some debris might have gotten into the MAF, pull it out and inspect it.
