i ran this setup with rs4 rear sway.

the improvement in handling was staggering. it was a bit bumpy at times, but other than that the cornering compared to stock was just ludicrous.

+1 ! I can't decide b/w H&R or Eibach, and Bilstein or Koni.. but that's generally how low I want to go. Can't get over how some cars are dumped sooo low. It looks good on some, but others I just scratch my head...

    Bilstien Shocks/H&R Springs

    Eibach Pro-Kit Springs/Dampers

I'm getting the Eibach Dampers because like a dumb-ass I put the Eibach springs on with my non-sport shocks ( rides pretty harsh). But from the pics it looks like the Bilstien Shocks/H&R Springs are a tad lower, that drop is pretty sweet.

Yeah I've been watching both of these posts carefully (this one and the eibach kit one - even saved both pics to my computer haha), the blue B6 has FWD struts and I have no idea if they'll work with a 3.0 since that is a 1.8.. but thx for the hard work i'm sure others will love the comparison

I agree that the H&R kit is lower, must be a higher compression spring (I think it is actually) which is why the tire looks a little 'tucked'. I'm more of a fan of the conservative drop (Eibach) myself. Just enough to take the gap out :)

Thanks dude it wasn't that hard but it might help someone that has questions about the drops of the many suspensions that we can run on our cars. It was helpful for me to see a side view comparison. A4mods has a nice suspension section, Martini has done an incredible job with his site.

i just started installing this setup today too. snapped a steering knuckle bolt on the drivers side which delayed me bigtime. had to take a trip to the dealer. now ive got to get the bolt out and finish the rears tomorrow/monday. ugh, small things are such huge headaches sometimes. glad you like it though! cant wait for mine!

I kept my non-sport bumpstops with Eibach Pro springs. Suspension travel isn't that much in the rear but it's not that bumpy eihter. I find that it helps with the understeer as the rear seems more firm during hard cornering.

i wonder how much of a difference there would be with these setups if the cars had stock 17s on them. Im assuming that there wouldnt be too much partly because of the stock tire size being bigger on the 17s than the tire size on the low profiles on the 18s. does that make sense?

Im running on the stock 17's and it made a vast improvement, they aren't coilovers but they are soooo much better then stock!

do you have any noise coming from the front? I recently installed mine and I have some weird knocking noises coming from up there and I kept my stock non sport bumpstops...

How much does this setup drop the car in the front/rear? I have 3.0 if that makes a difference. And where is the best place to buy?

1.8T and 3.0 will lower the same (using the correct springs, 1.8T and 3.0 dont use the same springs), but it depends on what your car has from factory. If going from non-sport then it lowers 1.7 front and 1.6 rear; and about .75 all around from stock sport suspension.

i just got this combo and i love it. i dont mind the ride bumpiness at all, and the handling is a night and day difference between stock sport. also have an rs4 rear sway, so that helps quite a bit.

anyway, just want to add some bilstein/h&r love...

Are these kinds of suspension upgrades pointless unless you track your car/drive somewhat aggressively? I dont do either, and only once put springs on a previous car for looks. Seems like spending $1500 on coilovers is quite a bit of overkill unless im drifting in an out of warehouses like that video thats all over the boards.

I guess my question is: Does much change in the everyday driving to make something like this worth it? Or only when you start pushing the car to its limits?

My best bet is probably just an RS4 sway bar...

I'm looking for this setup but I'm not sure because the horrible roads in Quebec and also the beautiful winter.

Do the ride is very more bumpy and low than the OEM sport suspension?
