25,000 mile maintenance but car only has 15,000

It's been a year since my car was in for it's last scheduled maintenance and I'm getting a message from the car that it's time to take it in. I'm due for the 25,000 scheduled maintenance but my car only has 15,000 miles on it. (I change the oil evey 5,000 miles). Should I get the 25,000 mile service now or wait until I have more miles on the car? If I wait, could that impact the resale value since it will be over a year since the car was in?

Any help appreciated...

I would simply take it in for an oil change, if it's time to do so according to YOUR schedule, and just do 25K when you actually hit 25K.

the 25k is basically an oil change. i just took mine in and i have 21k.

You're supposed to take it in at 15k and every 10k after, up to 45k and 50k for any last issues.

it actually starts at 5k (first oil change free) and every 10k after that... more or less the same thing you said just clarifying

If you are talking about doing this at the dealership they won't do it at 15k, they have a required mileage in order to under free maintenance under warranty

its usually done every 10k or 1 yr, whichever comes first. use your free maintenance wisely, as they expire when the warranty expires

yea ^^ it's not based on just miles either... 1 year or 10k whichever comes first... since he has a 2006... i might be that time to get the 25k

Wrong there. I think it says. X kms, or Y time. Whatever comes first... ;)

if its been a year you should do it, that is why usually on the stickers they put in the car its says a certain mileage or date which ever come first. I just got the 45000 done and my car has 34000 on it but it has sat for a year
