have pulled my y-pipe/accordian hose numerous times and the sensor on the bottom of the accordian hose is always a wicked pain in the ass.

    what is that sensor?

i have an 01.5 and my friend has a 00 and he doesnt have it. wondering if i could swap his accordian hose for mine (obviously i wouldnt bother if it does something it shouldnt like throw a code or make the car run wrong or whatever)

    Re: sensor in accordian hose

it's one line of the brake booster hose. it needs to be in there otherwise it would be an open boost leak.

if you get an accordian w/o a hole in it (such as RS4) you can cap off that end of the hose that is supposed to go in there.

    Wouldn't be a boost leak if it's pre-turbo [/wise ass]

And yes, you can cap it off.
