Wastegate i think??

So i just got my k04-15 in loved it for about 4 days then lost boost after getting giac low pro chip in. I hear an godly amount of air being sucked in when he turbo itself starts to spool, im wondering if that is the wastegate. If so can anyone tell me how to solve this problem so i can get her to run better with more response!!! Thank you all

Check for leaks and make sure the line to your bpv is still on.

Not sure on your 98, but it is either connected to your turbo inlet hose or connected to your turbo outlet hose.

On my 98 the stock location is plugged directly in to the lower turbo outlet hose between the turbo and the intercooler crossover pipe. The output of the BPV goes up and plugs in to the turbo inlet pipe. There is a vacuum line that goes from the intake manifold, across the timing belt cover and down to the BPV.

Also - are you sure you are hearing air being sucked in? I have an inch long tear in one of my hoses right now and I can't boost over 14PSI - I hear an ungodly amount of air being BLOWN OUT during boost. I originally thought that my BPV had failed but then I got down and found the tear in the hose...

It sounds like the additional pressure from the new turbo and setup has blown out one of the hoses somewhere and when you are stepping on the gas you are blowing a lot of air out of the hole.

thats exactly it its blowing SO MUCH AIR OUT and i had fixed a hose b4 that had a huge tear in it. Now i have no clue where to even look for a new one. I am just gettin so fuckin frustrated with this man.
