2.0T Stroker 3076R with pictures and video

My build has been done for about a week now and I've put about 950 miles on the engine. I turned the boost up to 24psi from 20psi tonight it's really starting to pull now.

Here are a few things that were installed:

-Eurocode built 2.0T with an 8500 RPM AEB head
    -Garrett GT3076R
    -Eurocode/Revo GT30 630cc file
-DTR custom built exhaust manifold, downpipe, and full exhaust with -Magnaflow 14851's
    -Tial 44mm wastegate
    -Tial 50mm blow off valve

Today I found a little time to take some pictures and a few videos. The videos aren't high quality but you get the point. I'll have a few pictures of the exhaust in the next day or two.

Here is a log of a 3rd gear pull. Timing was set at 5.

Thanks. It's a huge upgrade over the GTRS. How soon are you getting the 3071 installed?

Great work John! You must be excited, I know I am. That sounds awesome and pulls so fast. Someday I'll be able to turn my boost up and watch the tach skyrocket. Then again, I think I'm noticing the longer gears in realizing how long it take for my car to pull. Or is it just the measly 11psi? Haha.

Great job! This is exciting to see everyone's engines coming alive. Now we all gotta get mileage and dyno them. I anticipate final/full tune and dyno in September for my car. Gotta get 2k miles on it first and I'm at mile 60.

do any of you guys running a 3076r on a 1.8, 1.9, or 2.0 have any timeslips or an estimate of 0-60 or 1/4 mile times/trap speeds. i'd like to have an idea of how much faster it is than say an off the shelf BT setup.

    Fvcking tits John, fvcking tits.

I like where you placed the catch can, nice and easy to get to. Car sounds like a jet. What mass air flow setup are you using? So you are seeing full boost ~4500rpms? Damn you guys near sea level.

I probably won't take it up to red line until waterfest. It's not a stock manifold. I had it custom made at a local shop.

Don't forget about the cams and water/meth injection. I'm looking forward to meeting up with you and checking out your setup. Make sure you get it done on time. One of us needs to break the challenge by Greg.

You have cams and W/M? I have the meth but it was MAF based lol... so much for that right now, a new controller is like $200 ... If you dont put down an 11 second 1/4 ill be suprised, you cant do much more than what you have except get a bigger turbo or custom tune. I'll probably be running a few gallons of race gas to make sure I break the 12.8... Things are getting intense though, I have a TON of parts on their way but I only have a week lol

Re: 2.0T Stroker 3076R with pictures and video

Looks good John. Cant wait to see it in person at Waterfest, maybe even get a chance to run it down the drag strip to see what it can run and feel how that setup runs since we also plan on doing the same turbo on gregs car at some point.

Looks like the conditions at WF might not be too bad, they say it should be a high of 86 degs with some clouds so the humidity might be a bit high. They show sunday being a little cooler then saturday but I guess we will just have to wait and see, if it doesn't rain it will be GREAT weekend.

A few of us are going to the track on Friday night to make some runs, conditions will be much better that night then during Waterfest. If any of you want to make runs in cooler conditions please feel free to show up.

I'll probably have my car on a dyno within a month. I have a few things I want to add before then. So, will you have 2k miles in 2 weeks? Good thing you have those road trips coming up.

Well the BAT's dont really come alive till after 24psi.

24psi at sea level is 2.63 on the compressor map

Thanks Doug. I'm really excited. I couldn't stop smiling last night after each run. It's a night and day difference for me going from 16psi to 24psi. I'm going to go ahead and say that the 11psi is holding you back.

I'll probably have my car on a dyno within a month. I have a few things I want to add before then. So, will you have 2k miles in 2 weeks? Good thing you have those road trips coming up.
Oh, 11psi certainly is but I'm not increasing it 'till 500miles. Being conservative and learning more about my logs and about how the engine is reacting. Can't help this attitude seeing as its ingrained in my head through my profession.

I am so busy in August I have no time to get to ASP. My plan is September but it'll be contingent upon Mark's scheduling at the shop. Mileage isn't a problem between now and September seeing as I have two trips to PA, one to eastern NY, one to MD and one up to ME. And maybe some more in there. Story of my life...

We definitely need to gtg so we can do some fun runs
Thanks. I was trying to keep the RPMs down since the engine is still a little new. I make it to the next gtg. Just let me know when. I might be going to the SWOV meet next week, too.

Kinda funny, both of us have DG USP's, HRE's, and now 3076R's lol
Yeah, but mine is more of an aftermarket USP. Can't argue with the 3076. It's a great turbo.

Not yet. Hopefully soon though. I'll be running on race gas as well. We have to put on a good show, right? Good luck on getting everything done on time.

with 1.8T sensor I presume? I expect a lot higher MAF readings once you up the boost on that beast. My max with that maf combo up here is 223g/s. Damn I spool my 2871R just a couple hundred rpms sooner up here than your 3076R down there. Sometimes I wish I lived near sea level. Sometimes...

Looks like the conditions at WF might not be too bad, they say it should be a high of 86 degs with some clouds so the humidity might be a bit high. They show sunday being a little cooler then saturday but I guess we will just have to wait and see, if it doesn't rain it will be GREAT weekend.
Thanks Mike. You're more than welcome to take it for a run. I'd like to see what my car can do with you behind the wheel.

I'm looking forward to it. Hopefully the weather holds up.

PS, I'm just lovin' how the B6 platform is taking off. Just over one or two years ago everyone asking about Stage 1+ and/or K04, and look, now everyone is starting to jump to BT .
Thanks! Everything is running good now. Hopefully it stays that way. When I bought the car last year I was planning on going with a K04 and I ended up with the 3076 instead.

Yeah, stock 1.8T sensor. I'll try and get some more logs tonight if I up the boost anymore. Funny thing is that this turbo is spooling faster than the GTRS.

That does not surprise me lol. My GTRS spooled about 400-500rpms later than my T25 2871R up here on a hot day... (or your gtrs I might say ha!) That gtrs was spinning way better once it was rebuilt before I sold it to you too though...

My GT2871R on the 2.0L seems to be spooling as I expected.... The same as my GT28RS on the 1.8L
