got 2 problems with my car

I have had my car a few weeks and it is FLAWLESS... well tonight on my way home my headlights flickered (stock projectors), i figured i just blinked and thought they flickered.. about half a mile up the road, they completely turned off, marker lights still on, but no headlights and fogs wouldnt turn on. i didnt think to pull it back to see if my brights would come on manually.

any ideas what this could be?

the other problem is, i thought my windshield was just dirty, but i cleaned it tonight (inside and out) and evenly spread over the entire windshield looks like sparkles made into the glass... is this factory? if so what is it for cause when the sun hits it, it acts as something that blinds me, not something that allows me to see.

Check your connections. First at the headlights, then the fuse. Check your ground wires as well. Next check your actual bulbs (and test out your brights)

Sparkles are not factory, most likely tiny rock chips. I would bet the car went through some sand getting kicked up at a decent speed..
