    hubcentric rings

    Hey guys,
Just thought I would pass on my experience with hubcentric rings. Before this I really felt hubcentric rings were a waste. I thought if you had conical lugs and torqued them correctly in order everything would be ok. I just got a set of MRR GT1's and they rode horrible until I got my hubrings in from MRR now they are smooth as anything. I have seen a couple of post on this just thought I would add too it. I have had aftermarket rims before on several of my cars and only had hubcentric rings on one set. The bore on the other rims must have been closer to the hub size. anywho just my 2 cents.

    Re: hubcentric rings

it's actually not safe to run wheels w/o centering rings. Our wheel bolts are not designed to hold the weight of the car. A set will cost you $10 from either tirerack or discount tire. there is no reason to not run them.

    Re: hubcentric rings

I agree...especially if you're using spacers that push the wheel off the hub. You're just asking for trouble and expecting too much from your lugs.
