can any apr tuned guys help me out here

so ive noticed since i got the stage two file that i have flat spots when im at high revolutions at third and fourth gear. i always thought it was fuel cut, but then i did the pump and it is still there. now someone else told me that ii might be overboosting, and the ecu cutting back the boost, creating the flat spot... any help is good... thanks.

I wouldn't think cam lobe wear only because that should've been checked for prior to pump rebuilding. If it's a new pump, then there could be a defect. Boost cut is normal for the Stage I and Stage II files due to the lack of fuel supplied to the engine, so here, maybe the fuel pump file isn't loaded on the car. I would check with my APR dealer and make sure they loaded the fuel pump file.

Did your check engine light come on? It may be the intake manifold..

So you got the APR fuel pump? If you do then I would run a diagnostic at your APR dealer (if they can't notice anything physically) because they should see be able to see the drop in the power band on the computer

EDIT: Just thought about this, you installed the water meth kit so there is a possibility of overboost right? Maybe the kit is also having trouble delivering the liquid consistently

i dont think its any of that, cam lobe for sure not. i checked it myself, i have the autotech pump, and i havent added the fuel pump file, because i thought there was no need since for some odd reason apr doesnt have a k03 performance pump file for my car.. its not the meth or the fact that im on 100 octane file because it was doing it prior to this... either way, i see revo in my near future

and yes... i am the OB b7 that went to german motoring, but since then ive switched shops... foudn it a little more convinient for me

So you aren't satisfied with APR software because of this? I'd try the fuel pump program first

They do have a pump file for our cars (with stock turbo)....Once you get the APR fuel pump, your supposed to get the new fuel pump file for your software. Else the car wont know it can pump more fuel into the engine....

What RPM is high RPM? I have a flat spot/car hesitates between 3500 and 4500, I have also had a code for low fuel pressure at 6200RPM however my lobe was ok 5000KM ago when I got the pump.

it does at times, not all the time, but just an update on everything, i went to my apr dealer, and APR does not make a fuel pump performance for my box code . so i did the basic fuel pump, which didnt do shit, but lo and behold... a check engine light...
UGH APR is really frustrating me right now...

Geoff, I guess the pump file fixed the problem? You don't need the pump perfomance file, just the file that notifies the car that you have a high performance pump.

i think ive come to the conclusion that it isnt fuel related, more of an overboosting issue, need to investigate on that

Check the pcv valve, mine went but not in the usual fashion. No oil on the top of the motor and it still felt pretty strong but felt like fuel cut issues. I have all my longs that I can PM you if needed. Hope this helps!

im most likely sure its not the pcv, mine blew and i got the updated oem pcv, with a check valve.. i will be dooing pressure test on monday to check where it is coming from should i have a boost leak.

another point of concern is that i have logs from dyno runs that show my turbo giving 24 lb spikes... so i might have to look into that
