UK road tax + new car tax?!

Just been reading that according to the new car tax bands, coming into play 2009, the 2.0TQ SE (220bhp) will be £300 per year... now at the moment I pay £200 per year & our roads are shit - they're obviously not going to be spending the extra £100 on re-surfacing the roads - it's just a load of bollocks, which the whole "green" issue is fuelling.

Then, if you buy a new car from 2011, you have to pay £550 on top of the price of the car!

Talk about stealing from the rich to give to the poor. Boo!

ooh ooh Tax rant!!

Well in Holland truckers protested at the high diesel prices so now further diesel taxes wont be implimented.
And to make up for this missed income the tax office is now increasing roadtax for cars!!

Oh well atleast the autobahn is close by.
