Interior Door Handles Not Working

I seem to be having trouble opening my doors from the inside. It almost feels like the cable leading from the interior door handle to the latch is loose. Has anyone else had this experience? Any DIY fixes? Thanks in advance.

only one way to find out: take off the door panel. it's very simple, and there's a tech article on AW that covers it also.

yeah just take off three screws on the door panel. one in the back of the door grab handle, and two on the top/side on the front and rear of the door panel. then just use some effort and pull upand out. the door handle opener is attatched to a wire, make sure that's tight and attatched to the handle mechanism. and when u put it back on, make sure your door lock thing goes thru the hole, or be prepared to not be able to unlock the door haha.
