search function wins again.....APR R1 DV review??

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
well since the search function is basically useless when you want to search under 3 characters...i need those of you to give me some reviews on the R1 DV from APR. i know some had said they were producing a "moo" sound. possibly meaning the unrippable diaphram had ripped. basically, i want to know how yours is doing. thanks for the input!

Re: search function wins again.....APR R1 DV review??

i am running one that a friend on here gave up. it apparently had to be rebuilt. Not sure of the details. it moo'd on him. i put it in when i did my dsmic a couple months ago. no problem or moo here. We're not sure if the relocation from high up on the TIP to down low near the second intercooler plays a roll in the non-moo factor, since he never put it back when once he got it back from APR. From quick vag log, boost seems to be where it should be too. i don't have any logs to post. just a quick glance at the numbers. i'll be putting in the rearview mirror boost gauge mod soon, so I can get further info.

I've never ran one but I remember seeing a lot of negative threads pop up after it was released. I'm happy with my Forge 007.

R1 is a cow, there are so many other dv's that are fine that its so simple just to avoid any given one and buy a different one at any suspicion that it may give you problems. I have the bailey DV and its doing great.
