you need to log your timing correction as well to see just how badly the stock IC is affecting you...

    I personally wouldn't run a K04 on a stock SMIC, but that's just me.

in texas I wouldn't run a modified k03 on the stock SMIC. Is this in deg F? If you are only seeing 60deg C I wouldn't worry. I have seen my K04 with ecode fmic hit 80deg C at 5000ft on a 100deg day and I was still running fine pulling no timing. EGTs a bit high though. Log IAT again, EGT(034), Cf (020)

    Where did you get 60C?

    190F = 87C. Water boils at 100C. 190F is too hot imo.

I guessed, I don't know the conversion off the top of my head lol. 87 is damn hot. Hotter than I've ever seen even at 10000ft where it's the worst. Get yourself an FMIC now. I would recommend the ER sport.

It's a nice product and it does improve the IAT's, but they'll still remain high. With the Apikol SMIC the max IAT's would've been around 150-160F. Improved, yes, but still too hot imo.

    Re: log-intake temp

Ouch, very very hot. The car must be running very sub-par. Here's is an example of my 3rd gear pulls with my FMIC at 90F ambient:

    Ranges from 30C (86F) to 38C (100F) - So a 14 degree IAT delta.

Of course different car, but I am using an eBay core (CXRacing) which are readily available.

    yes, cf is timing correction
ive told people for a long time, with either 1+ or k04 you desperately need a FMIC... the car will feel like a different beast i know mine sure did..

the upgraded SMIC only reduces IATs about 20-30 whereas my racetec drops them about 100 degrees

Yes ER Comp or custom is the only way to go if you are running a big turbo. I could not have any smaller with my setup at this elevation.

sorry for some reason can't make it biggerr

    EGT max about 900*C = 1652*F

The last graph is showing how much timing is being corrected on each cylinder. Your correction factors are in a safe range.

    But damn, that SMIC sucks.

    Re: log-intake temp

giac pulls a lot of timing but your iat's are crazy high, higher than I've ever seen. You'll be fine with the er comp until you go gtrs. Get it on there asap! The most optimal is to see your cf's as close to 0 in all cyl as possible. For instance: 0, 1.5, 0, 0 Log block 003 BTDC when you log CF's 020
