    fiberglass single 12" sub enclosure

I've been bitten by the mobile audio bug
While my original plans were to keep it small and simple, I have now spent nearly $2k on my installation accessories alone. The plan of using only a single 12" sub is on the backseat, as I have decided to go with 3-12" subs instead.

I'm hoping someone here might want to buy this Custom built subwoofer enclosure for single 12" sub. This is designed to "corner load" in the drivers side rear corner of the trunk. The enclosure weighs only 24lbs, yet is over an inch thick. I burned in a MB Quart Reference Series 12" driver in this enclosure, and with only 200 watts RMS (4 ohms, to each voice coil, real watts, 2 high quality orion HCCA amplifiers) was able to peg 142db at the dash according to the RTA of a close friend of mine.
This thing not only looks GREAT, it takes VERY little trunk space. the sound is flat out AMAZING, as this is entirely rigid (as in hard as a rock)

I put nearly 35 hours of work in this, which is irrelevant, as I'd simply like to get back what I spent on materials, plus a buck or two to compensate my two sons who "helped" diligently with this project.

You'll not be disappointed with this.

internal volume is 1.15 cubic ft. and the f3 is 43hz. this sub was merely burned in and tested by a responsible adult. I don't abuse my things, don't "show off" like the idiots you hear harrassing folks in traffic, and I DO NOT EVER listen to CRAP (I guess most call it Rap, but I think it is shit therefore I politely phrase the genre of "music" as C-R-A-P)
there are approimately 10 hours continuous of pink, and about a half hour tuning and testing. This driver is better than new, as it is ready to perform, right out of the box!

    $400 loaded
    $300 empty

JL Stealthboxes are a joke compared to this subwoofer. A competent custom audio shop would drill you for $1100-$1500 for a setup like this. (anyone offering to build for less obviously hasn't the experience to professionally build something of this caliber anyway)
This is a one time shot deal, I won't be making anymore unless someone wants to throw out 4 digits, in which case you should probably consult someone local anyway...

OK, enough babbling... here come some pics [/IMG]

here's a shot WITH the driver which would be included if you so opted

from the inside looking back (car is stripped and being fitted with over 250 sq ft of sound deadener, pardon the mess)

from the back (with a gaggle of Streetwires products which are not included, however if you NEED anything, I will be selling off what I dont use after the installation is complete)

Here are photos of the beginning of this project

the marginal space in which it occupies (note the nearly complete use of this space OVER your factory panels, and that you dont HAVE to alter anything with allthread like I did, that is only because I intended to thoroughly secure the enclosure. which anchors from the back and from the bottom with 1/2" bolts directly to the frame)

your car should sit low like this because of COILOVERS, NOT because of the hundreds of pounds of crap that stereo gear salesman will tell you need to achieve high SPL numbers/performance.

over 140 db at the dash with this one sub, properly driven, and the enclosure is less than 25 lbs (add a few for the speaker of course) and you can hardly miss the TINY amount of space this takes

    I reiterate, no disappointments here...

Nice work, good luck on the sale. If you weren't so far, I might think about getting this, but shipping would kill.

+ this includes mounting accessories (high quality wiring, HD hardware, sleek trim bezel, etc...)

MB Quart DVC subwoofer features 800w rms power handling, forged aluminum frame, 8-12 awg set screw terminals with buss bars, ultra rigid smooth inverted cone, high excursion butyl surround, and more

& the best integration thanks to the top end custom fiberglass, form fitting enclosure.
