Hey guys, Recently my car has been slipping under heavy throttle from 2K-3.5K and i am almost positive it is because of my clutch. So now I am looking into some new clutchs. I went on ebay and found some replica models by LuK or EXEDY. I wasnt looking to spend too much money due to a tight budget. Any suggestions please help.

Yeah if you are going to do it, you might as well put something in there that will last a bit longer than stock, especially if you have any kind of mods. Like Vin said, Rs4 is great and relatively cheap. Anything in the stage 3 range will probably eat it away to fast though.

Expect to spend at least 600 in labor to do a clutch install. I got lucky and took it to a local shop with really reasonable rates and got it done for about 550. But every other place I talked to was going to be close to $800, if not more.

    Re: Clutch help please

Shop rates must be a lot cheaper in the midwest... The last quote i got out here in CA was $1200, and that's when I decided i'll be doing it myself. I opted for the kevlar disk, RS4 PP and Al flywheel, but have not installed it yet. I am planning on going big soon, but not that soon... So, the parts are just sitting in my closet, waiting for the time to get installed.
