...yes, you can install it by yourself in 20~40 min. It is more radio unit swap than install.
...to check if you have Bose or not, look for BOSE logo on your speakers or check if BOSE logo is displayed when you turn your radio ON.
...yes, unit is coded to match your car specs
...sharkfin antenna connector is located under ceiling trim (rear window, upper corner passanger side)

I have a 2004 S4 with the standard C type nav and phone. My car already has the sharkfin antenna, and i wondering if all the plugs would be located behind my bose deck. I live in toronto, Canada and if u have the map i need. Ill purchase this unit asap. thx

Units are already coded to match your car specification, so there is no need for VAG. They come of course with unlock CODE. About the install...just look at the installation video in firs post.

Probably your car doesn't have quadlock connector behind and you will need adapter. I will need to double-check that, or you can eamil me picture of your conectors and I can tell you for sure. Canadian maps are included.

I'm having some difficulties with the instrument cluster. The directions say to remove the small plastic trim above the steering wheel and take out the two torx screws which i did....Then it says just pull out the instrument cluster.... yea it doesn't come out. am i missing something? I can't get this thing out for the life of me.

Ok so i figured it out, apparently it was just very tight i had to remove the fuse panel cover and push the cluster out from the inside... it was still very difficult but i got it out. So far everything is working great.

I'll be installing mine tonight and tomorrow to the shark antenna. Hope it goes well.

My only other questions are will the mode button on the steering wheel now work? Or does that need to be VAG-ed. Also, since I don't have bluetooth, I won't have a mic for the voice commands I guess? So, where/what do I do for bluetooth and a mic? Seems you are out of stock.

I got mine hooked up and working. Real cool. Nav tracking isn't exact all the time but then after a while it catches up. Not sure if there's a sure fire way to calibrate. I do miss the volume feedback for the user, I have no idea the volume level. Sound quality also seems improved over the symphony 2.

Now I just need the bluetooth and backup camera :)

On my symphony, when you turned the volume up, the numbers of the current volume level would increase. Now on the NAV, there is no volume indicator, no numbers, no meter or anything. So the music just gets louder or lower, no visual aid as I am used to. Not a big deal, just wanted to mention that I miss that.

If you connect an aftermarket DVD player do you still need the MMI interface to watch DVDs, play CDs, etc?

Also, with the new BT system could I just BT my iPOD Touch and listen via the speakers? When a call comes in the volume quiets/cuts, etc. etc?
