Sounds like a great deal to me, esp if it has all the other $$ options like Nav, etc-- (almost too good...) That's a great color combo too.

I think it never hurts to be a little skeptical though-- it that may be good to know why is a car with such low miles on the market already? And why would it be discounted so heavily for nearly a "new" car? Also, keep in mind Carfax doesn't catch everything, as some states do not require reporting of accidents unless the damage hits a certain $ amount. In other words, a clean Carfax is not an ironclad guarantee that nothing ever happened to a car.

But assuming that everything checks out, I'd say that sounds very good to me!

Can not be CPO, I think the car has to be a year old or have 10k or 12k miles before it can be CPo'd. I'm almost sure of that.

It's actually gonna be no orange peel to watch out for. Aftermarket painting rids the car of orange peel.

Seems like a pretty good price if everything checks out. I'd try for another $2-3k off of that since V8's are hard to sell right now with gas prices the way they are.

I sold mine this past November for $44.5k with 2k miles, heavily loaded '07 S4, red with DTM pkg and most options. $40k sounds pretty good, I'd still cover all the bases with Carfax, etc, etc. I purchased a new RS4 to replace it and never looked back for one second, I'd recommend it if your budget can handle it. They're are some good RS4 deals in the mid $50's if you look around and are patient.
