Door Handle Leprosy

I wish it were just a disease, treatable with drug therapy or even a good wash.

But alas, the combination of keys/rings/scrapes/hot/cold/uv/water and good old VAG plastics subcontractors (and time) have me ready to scour the parts bins for a replacement. Once it starts, it's almost like rust - gets worse very fast. It's not too noticeable from afar (pic #3), but get close and it looks like a friggin' disease! Passenger side is fine (see #2).

My driver's door handle spring is on it's last legs as well, so if I can find a replacement in time, I'll do them at the same time.

Yeah I'm definitely going to go to my parts department and order new interior parts...i'm sick of that fucking shit plastic they use

grab some simple green and a rag scrub it hard and it will all come off. It looks better that way any ways. No need to waste money on new parts.

I guess I can argue weight savings ;) I'll give the simple green a shot.

I still hate the fact that it's starting to act like an 8-yr old car. What's it think it is? An 8-yr old car?
