    Lights are Too Dim!!

I have a 01 A6 2.8 with the halogens. The lights are very dim at night. I can barely see anything at night. I had Audi look at them and they said they are fine. What do you guys think? I am unsure of how HID kits work and Xenon Housing and Ballasts work. What is the best solution? Also if HID kits is my cheapest solution how do you install them, or do I need to get a shop to install them? Thanks in advanced for your help.

Your best option is to get HID KIT they are easy to install and you could get a PLUG & PLAY kit. Get a 4300K or 6000K kit both kits are bright.

How old are your bulbs? If you are unwilling to spring for a full HID kit, get new bulbs.

I agree with PMR2.7t. HIDs should be your first consideration. The next step up would be the Euro projectors with the HIDs (different, more focused beam pattern).

How do HID ballasts work in general?

And I will save you some research:

Where can I get a good HID kit for my car? How much do they run? How do you install the ballast to the existing wiring?
