So I've been looking on the 4 sale forum and found a few chiped ecus for b5 s4s but ppl say that they are not compatible. Can anybody enlighten me on weather this is true and why? The numbers on my ecu read: 551 AK. TIA.

not compatible, yes they have same powertrain, but they are different cars with different instrument clusters, controls, tuning etc. You have the C5 platform, obvuiouly different than the B5 platform.
