VAG-COM Can''t clear all DTC with ebay cable??? Help!!!

Just bought the interface cable from ebay $25, Got the Vag-Com Software and licence $99, now everything looks like is working but, when I scan my car i find these codes which i fixed and im trying to clear all DTC codes and it says I need a proffessional interface??? Is there any ways i can bypass this??

If the codes you need to clear is CAN-BUS, then you won't be able to clear it the regular USB cable from eBay, you need the CAN-BUS cable.

are the codes you are trying to clear emissions related DTC's? as in are they setting the check engine light/MIL

those (legally) have to be cleared by a generic scan tool such as the vag com.... but others do not (no emissions related)

if youve truely fixed the codes, just drive. the ecu will realize theyre fixed and eventually turn off the CEL by itself. the reason dealers clear codes after fixing them is so people wont flip out more than they already do after service. customer brings car to dealer for CEL, gets it back after paying $500 and CEL is still on but claimed fixed...see my point?

so like i said, if you fixed it just drive it. the CEL will go away.

if you really want to clear it, youll need another cable. i hear the one from OBDTool.com works great at $80. i will be picking it up shortly.

Are you sure your software is registered properly?

Even the free version of vag-com will clear codes. I've had no issues with my cable from eBay and Ross-Tech's shareware version to clear codes when needed.

I have been having the same problems with mine, maybe we are just doing it the wrong way.

i have that issue. it will clear them if you go into the individual modules and clear the codes there (one module at a time). it's just the clear all that doesn't work.

I have noticed that too, however if you give it some time and it should clear all the modules.

Just yesterday, I had to clear a ABS fault code and an EVAP code...the "Clear All" function wouldnt allow me to do it, but going through each section individually allowed me to clear the two different codes!

To the OP, can you give me the link to where I can purchase the $99 version of vagcom!

41-10 - Blocked or No Voltage - Intermittent

A/C? Heater? A/C works fine anyone know where this is located? my ebahn reader is not working

What this mean (correct me if I am wrong) is one of the motorized flap is malfunctioning (not opening or closing or stuck). I randomly get the same code.
