Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
well i decided that i hate the wood trim in my car so i had a little fun.
i didn't take any before pictures but just imagine the normal wood trim

its lime green microsuede and its not permanent its was more of a trial run going to re do it soon it either black or white or a shade of grey.
and for the ashtrays and the shifter surround i just painted them.

    sorry about the dirty car

yeah i know i wasn't too keen on it first. i had a couple people talk me into it. and because i dont have a lime green bug it is going to be changed...probably around the middle of august.
and the entire process probably took 4.5hours, but that was leisurely doing it

I am about to wrap my trim in black fabric (suede, whatever)

Anyways, how did you wrap the trim? Did you kind of sew it in place along the back or did you glue it in place?

Very interested to know what you did!

Haha, that's hilarious. I say you when you redo it... and I HIGHLY suggest you redo it, you do a nice light shade of gray (almost white) in the same material. And you should make a DIY next time, just a suggestion.

Damn that was a little harsh. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean his car should burn to the ground. The execution of the job is fairly decent the color is just to much for most. I was thinking about doing this to mine but in a red to offset the black interior. good job man. At least now it will be easier if you decide to redo it because you know exactly what to do.

that would look sick if it was in a lime green lambo, it's not bad, just doesn't fit the car you have it in. mad props to you for the craftsmanship!!!!

my only question is how long will it take for cloth to get all smudged up? I just see it getting dirty fast and being hard to clean.
