    Fix crack in leather?

So my recently aquired 3.0 A4 with luxury package just got its first blemish on my watch. on the side bolster of the driver's side seatback, a 5 inch, verticl, crack has appeared. If I push on it it almost completely closes up and disappears from view. Is there anything i can do to seal this thing up and make it appear as if it's not there? Do I need to take it somewhere? It looks sooo ugly on an otherwise perfect leather interior... I'm not even sure how it happened, but I'm going to treat the rest of the leather ASAP to prevent any other issues.

I'm not sure there's anything you could do to completely fix it besides sitting on it. However, the detailing forum contains material that would probably make it less notable.

There is a leather/vinyl repair kit you can buy at Kragen or Autozone, which involves heating some plastic resin or similar and using some texture to blend it in, works good enough to conceal it, I used it on my old 325i's seats. Color matching is the hard part, what color is the interior, if it is not black or white or some solid color, you will have to mix the resin to get a close match. I think the kit costs around $15.99. Well worth the try, considering the alternative will cost you a whole lot more.

the above post is pretty much what I would do as well, however there are better kits that do exact color matching based on model and year. you can buy those on the internet, forgot the name but google it and im sure youll find a matching product.

Get a professional to seal it for you. They did two cracks for me for $70 I think. One was much like the crack you describe. They did a great job a the color match is right on. Had it done a year ago and the seal is still holding like it did the first day.
