B8 Sedan - 2.0T with manual trans avialable at launch?

The lease on my B7 sedan is up in October. Will I be able to get a 2.0T manual B8 on time? I've read that the manual trans won't be available at launch, is this true? When will 2.0T manual be available?

manual is only on 2.0t, not 3.2, you need to call around about 'when' part tho...

Manually should be here in November, about a 2 months after the auto launch.

Over on AW folks are being told (seems pretty consistent) March '09 for the Manual...bummer.

I wish there was a way to really confirm this info.

How did it go down when the B7 first came out? was manual 2.0T available at launch? I know this probably would have nothing to do with the B8 launch but just curious.

Damn it!!! I hope march 09 is wrong... I get 6% off plus $2500 in between Oct and December. :-(

if that is the case, I may just sell out and get an used 335. :-(

I'm on AW more than here. I don't see a lot of March claims. I've also talked to local ABS, and he said November too.

I'm surprised you haven't seen the thread near the top in the B8 area then....where multiple members have had their dealers tell them March '09. I went into our local dealer today and they said the same. Don't shoot the messenger...I hope they're wrong myself. Releasing the 6MT that far behind makes my head hurt....
