Help w/ Depo Tail Lights

I just got a pair of Depo Clear Euro tail lights(altezza), and the connector is slightly different. They seem to hook up, but produce no light. The box says '01-'02 but the site that I bought from says they should fit my '04. Any idea if they make different one to fit the '04 or what I need to do to make them work? I just got new tails for mine, and when I initially hooked them up, no lights came on. I took a wrench and squeezed the two connectors together tighter, and the lights worked. Apparently the plug was not getting deep enough with hand pressure to seat well with the connector.
