Finally got one!

Well, I have a confirmed build for next week, but the waiting was killing me.

This Sat AM I was scanning the eBay R8 ads and found a private party sale 5 hours away in Cleveland, so my wife (who absolutely rocks) said lets pack up the kiddies and make a weekend out of it...

...so we drove to see it Sat night, stayed in a hotel, drove back sunday (stopping at the Newport aquarium on the way back for the girls), and this afternoon, I flew to Cleveland, and just got back from driving it home, 400+ miles later

Too late to take new pix, but I will tomorrow. It's daytona grey/matching blades, black/alcantara int, 6 spd. I have some I took on Sat at the former owner's place but can't post attachments?

Mine should be here in 2-3 months, at which point I will likely sell this one (or keep it and sell the red one incoming, but likely I'll keep that one).

Anyone interested in the grey one, let me know now!

until I see my ordered one in person, I can't bank on it being here. I wanted to drive it while I still have the best driving months of the year to enjoy it.

R8's are in high demand...I paid a slight premium (dealers who sell outside of their market area are financially penalized for doing so) and have offers of 20 - 30k over what I paid. I've firmed up my number 1 spot for a V10 model and plan on selling my current car in the coming weeks after my GTR's arrive.

So are you going to keep the GT-R and the V10 R8 or trade it in for the R8? I think it might be a tough choice to keep both. Great choices though, each one has a distinct personality
