Master Blaster Rocks more that you could ever imagine!

Got home today to find that my Master Blaster had arrived. Whoo hooo. No more tedious drying of the RS grille or the MKV grille, both of which are a total pain in the ass. This thing moves some serious air. It's filtered and heated so you can hit your entire car with it safely. If you are a professional detailer (Evan), you shouldn't be without one. Oh Yea, it wasn't cheap 3 bones.

On a side note, if anyone is thinking of getting one, the regular Blaster should be more than enough, as the one pictured below is way way overkill, and that's putting it lightly.

Except for the flames, I'm trying to keep it stock for the time being but would be open to wheel suggestions (photochop it) lol

Wow I never knew they made such a thing. Couldnt you just run a shop vac in reverse? My mom is big into dog grooming and she has this monstrous hair dryer thing that looks exactly like the Master Blaster. She doesnt use it because the dogs get scared. I think I am going to test that out and save 300 bonerooskis.

Agreed, thing looks like a 4wd, drop that shiz like its hawt. You should put your LMs on it, maybe some carbon trim, and underbody neon.

How loud is it? In CA, the sun is crazy and I imagine you have to wash the car pretty early? Will the noise of that thing distract your neighbors?

It isn't quiet. But seeing as it has two motors, you can opt to use just one if noise is a concern. I have shade at my place all the way till about 11am so I'm good to go.

I could see if one was going to use a gas leaf blower, how that would be a suspect idea.

I'll admit it looks like a great product on its own, but the comparison against an air compressor is 99.9% marketing BS.

Oil and residue in a compressed air line is extremely minimal (with a normal operating air compressor), and if it is a worry, a dryer can be installed to completely eliminate it. I think for this application (drying a car) it would be complete overkill.

Now if you don't already own an air compressor, this is a good alternative if you don't want to invest in one. But for the company say it's better, safer, etc than a compressor is just the marketing talking.

A shop vac doesn't heat the air and can't even come close to this thing in velocity.

An air compressor is unnecessary for my garage. Besides taking up unnesessary space, I don't have a use for air tools.

But do you really need heated air to blow it out from the grille? I have used the shop vac with a very narrow tip and can blow away any water i throw at it

Alright, washed the Rs4 last night and it took all of about 10 minutes and one small microfiber towel. In fact, you really don't even need a towel to dry to car. This thing is amazing.

If anyone local wants to take the blaster for a test run, let me know and I'll let you borrow it for a day.

Eric, have you ever used one of these? You should take it for a spin next week. Come by a day before you want to wash your car and pick it up. You just got to return it the following day as I wash 3 cars on a regular basis. You'll be hooked!
