    Re: Will this ECU work?

I would think so, the ECU in my car is from an 03' with a slightly different part # that my factory one. Keep in mind the immobilizer has to be reprogrammed for your car at the dealer, when they reprogram it for the new ECU the old one will no longer work. Also the REVO software will be put in permanent limp mode after reprogramming the immobilizer and will have to be reflashed

    Re: Will this ECU work?

I can get it for a steal. VW can do the key, correct? Then I can send it and my old one to Revo. I'm sending my current one back to Revo and having the normal rev. limit BT file put back in it as a test to see if the ECU will pull fuel back. If it still won't I'm deeming the ECU bad. I also am having a issue with some hard codes that won't erase and I KNOW there isn't a issue with those circuits.

    Re: Will this ECU work?

Id say its worth a try then, and I dont believe VW can recode it, I think it has to be Audi because they have to retrieve some codes/passwords something from the Audi database in order to do so

Damn, that means a trip to Tampa and about $100. You don't think it makes a difference between the 5 and 6 spd?

Just talked to Robin, it has to be an "E" or "F".

    Re: Will this ECU work?

    Chris,
The 2002 ECU is very different than any other B6. Fuel maps and fuel control is different. You need a 2002 ECU. One of the little intricacies (sp?) of the 2002 model year.
