    Oxygen Sensor Advice!

It is time to change my oxygen sensors and I am very confused with what I am finding out there. Is there a significant difference between a $25 sensor versus a $70 or $130 sensor? Is there a difference between Bosch or Beck Arnley? Does it matter if I buy a universal sensor that needs to be spliced versus a more expensive direct fit? I appreciate the advice.

I got the ones from Vast and they worked great. Be prepared for a bitch of an install. I would check out ECS for some different kinds of O2 wrenches. Damn drivers side took me hours.

I used bosch univerisal. Very easy to do, and they work great. I think I paid 50 bucks each. Far cheapier then the OEM ones. All you have to do is splice in the stock plug. It's very easy.

    Re: Oxygen Sensor Advice!

I replaced both my front O2 sensors with the spliced sensors. I replaced the O2's on my car and on a buddy's A6 and both cars I didnt think they were hard at all to get out (either side) I did have a o2 socket, but not sure what brand it was, I borrowed it from a buddy.

I have to change one of mine too. I don't know which yet so I'm gonna do both. But my question is what is the difference between how many wires are with the universal ones? How many do our stock ones have?

    Re: Oxygen Sensor Advice!

I found the expensive Bosch Oxygen Senors with the housing attached and no splicing necessary from a company called PartsREX for $80 each. They usually go for $140+. Contact Moudy at [email protected]. Our cars take 4 Oxygen senors.
