whitefish, they look like knock off evo ms to me, I have evoms and love them, as long as tolerances are good i would say go for them, or at least be our guinea pig. Best thing about these are that they are rebuildable and you can change out the springs, oh yeah no rubber diapraghm to rupture under 20+psi boosting.

you can even get some original 710n's on ebay , nre for dirt cheap :)
white fish, if you like the sound you need BOV, not dv, best bet is SSQV HKS, you might have a problem later running BOV.

An excellent point Andrey, but the DV's in the ad are in fact diverters not open dump style, we can call them a 100 different things, but us Audi guys still need to recirc that air

    Re: Diverter valves ...

oh yeah the ebay ad is def. DV but the 'cheap' one, i never tried them so i dunno, but looks like a replica of some sort, and yeah we do need to recilculate , but, i know some guys that are in fact running two hks bovs on 2.7t with no problems....so my guess it depends on the car, will it accept it or not, lol

    Question Re: Diverter valves ...

I have EVOMS DVs for the purpose of shortening the lag my 6 was experiencing. The lag was reduced about 60% and they definitelly add a deeper tone to the engine... I am able to get longer boosts also so $130.00 is not bad for what I got.
I do need to get a new vacuum line and renew all the hose clamps.
Does anyone know where I can get them as a kit and whats the name of the tool I need for the small hose clamp ringythings...???

    Re: Diverter valves ...

so metal DV's make sound some what similar to BOV's?
I know a lot of you guys are con's to the 'sound improvement only' but I loved what CAI did to my accord...and personally like the sound of BOV's...but too loud...
So metal DV's could be the solution someone like me?

Well... yes, but no fart at the top of the rev. I'd say that thee is definitelly a sound difference but it just amplifies the sound that lets you know its a turbo engine. With stock DVs you can hear air being vacuumed but its a flat vacuum sound kind of like whoooshh... With my machined Valves the vacuum sound is more noticeable and it adds a bit of an "R" to the whoosh, kind of like whooshhhrrrrmmm But for me the performance difference was what made a noticeable difference I wonder if my stock DVs were screwed because I used to have quite a bit of lag and now I press the gas and I get a more immediate response.

Yes you have to jack up the car. It should take all of 15 minutes to complete the job.

    Re: Diverter valves ...

I can say mine got louder when I increased boost and when I went K04s, since they let off more air. My old blown 710A's made an awesome rally car type of flutter when I was only chipped. The 710N's were much quieter til I went stage 3 then they made more rally like sounds. I just switched to Forge 007 (picked up for $75 ea @ WF!!) and they make a more high pitch sound, but a quieter sound..

On my other car, 300ZX TT, my stock DVs made like no sound til I put in GT28's and raised the boost way up. Now they sound almost like a BOV, but not the annoying high pitch one. They almost sound like when a truck lets off the air brakes only not as long, a shorter burst...

Just my 2 cents. Hopefully helps some.
