    tapp problems

    any one have problems with their socket chip popping off of the ecu....this will be the second time it happend to me...

    Yep, happened to me a few times. Ended up stacking some foam tape to the other side of the ECU, hasn't been a problem since.

    I never had an issue.

    It came off in the mail on its way to me - haven't had it in the car yet though.
    GT35r, Cat 3653's, 034 manifold, 1000cc injectors, Ctapp tune, 44mm tial wg, 2.0 block with scat rods and JE pistons, stage 3 SPEC S4 clutch with 240 mm SPEC flywheel, full 3" exhaust, coolingmist water meth, etc.

    same here. when it arrived something was shaking around in the ecu so i opened it up and it wasn't attatched. put it back in and the car started right up and runs fine.
    Old: 97 30r'd A4 ---> headaches
    New: Evo IX MR ---> 354awhp/349tq and couldn't be happier

    mines fallen out a bunch of times due to massive potholes. I did what a220vt did and stacked foam on top of it and it hasnt happened since
