register in AZ, but live in CA?

So, I have 2 friends in AZ who said i can register my car at their residence, for smog purposes. Anyone ever do this? I have had friends in college who didn't have much issues with their out of state cars...

Do you think I would need an AZ drivers License? to complement my plates in case I get pulled over again for the (POP your hood - cuz you look modified)

#1. could this work? AZ plates to avoid CA strict smog rules.
#2 is it more trouble than it's worth?

I'd like to put my 3" intake back on vs. the stock box w/ my GTRS... can't really boost w/ a 1.5"-2" inlet...

(had to put the stock emissions box back on to see the Referee next week - got pulled over previously.)

Cant boost with the small inlet hose? Greg runs the Neuspeed hose,adapter and stock air box on his 71r elim and has no problem running 25psi. His car has even ran 12.8's with that setup and looks 100% stock.

ah... okay, maybe i need to put the 630's back in, cuz this tune is running bad on the 440's.. (ohhh haha, forgot using stock c-valve... )

u think there's any way to modify the stock box to make a custom 3" anyway? not sure what type of inlet pipe i can re-purpose to make it look stock...

If your lease or mortgage is not in your name, I would say no problem for the most part unless you are pulled over by five oh. In that case, the AZ DL and a solid story might keep you from getting the states full attention and fines.

Why not change your address in SD to an exempt part of the county. Last I knew, not all of SD county has the pollution control requirement B$.

That's a very well kept secret, i'll need to look into... i've heard of this mythical story about an area up in LA "covina?" Not sure....

just put your stock stuff back on for the smog, then if you get pulled over they will tell you to go get it checked out, you'll have time to change back to your stock stuff and the ticket will be tossed.
