Pics of both of our project cars

Hey everyone...i'm new to the board but definitely not new to modding cars. I'm finally getting somewhere with the wife's project car. Before you say lower it i'll say I have some H&R/Bilsteins on order. Should be on the car in the next week or so. It's HER car so I'm not going too crazy on it. Maybe a chip and exhaust after the suspension goes on. (maybe some ecodes too) She absolutely loves this car (as do I when I want to switch over to something more civil).

    Her A4 1.8T mods
    -S4 bumper
    -M3 style spoiler
    -18" SSR GT-3 multi-piece wheels

    My Evo mods
Pretty much everything your heart desires
    custom spec 35r
    In-house fabricated everything :)
    Built head
    twin disc
    KW Variant 3 coilovers
    etc.

The Evo runs 10.9x all day long on pump gas, is competitive in SM in my local SCCA Auto-X region, and is competitive on the road coarse. Did I mention it's my daily driver and has over 35k on it now?

that evo is fuckin sexy all blacked out!!

a chip, exhaust, and front mount for her car and itl be very nice itself. The s4 bumper looks to plain without a nice intercooler sitting behind it.

Wait you're not with them anymore? I thought I saw you there 2 weeks ago when I came by for a new dump for my WG? I thought I knew that car, especially with the baby seat in the back:)

I really like EVO's, they're just sexy. The A4 is nice too, I just appreciate a done up EVO a smidge more.

Not sure I'm diggin the front bumper on the EVO though. ... S/N says it runs 11's any videos or timeslips?
My friend Mario's running mid 12's w/ nothing spectacular done to it. I'd like to see what one with suspension mods and obviously more power would be like.

The s/n I use is one I've used for years (from my DSM days). The Evo actually runs 10s these days. The Evo front bumper is actually OEM w/ the addition of a carbon lip. :)

    Thanks for the compliments.

from a pure performance aspect, it's hard to beat the Evo. I think that's my next car. REAL Daily driven 10's on pump gas sounds good to me.

Nice runs. What whp does your evo put down and when you say custom 35r are you running the HTA? My friend tom (SmogRunner) just switched to the HTA.

BTW do you plan on going to waterfest in a few weeks?

Yep, it's the HTA 35r. The car put down 502whp at only 27psi on pump gas. Mind you, it's stock block, ECU, and MAF. There's plenty left in it.

Not sure about waterfest. My time is limited. :(

Cool. yeah my friend put down just under 500whp on C10(100 octane) at 23-24psi, also on ecu tuning. I am still waiting to see how it stacks up to his old old setup with a normal 35r.

Those blocks hold up to so much. A good friends car came out of JNZ and JM putting down 600whp, sporting Motons and he gave SilverStreakin on AW a piss of a time at Time Attack 2 years ago:

LOL, yeah like a 250whp APR stage 3 A4 is going to have a chance in hell vs a 600whp Evo. Even a 250whp evo is going to beat up on a 250whp A4.

Ok, so you really just meant a stock bottom end or stock short block. Reason I said it might not mean stock internals is because people do engine swaps which would use a non "stock" block to that car. Even in the A4 community people swap in VW 2 liter blocks, while others just use the stock block to build up.

How does "this" evo eat my A4 on the drag strip? Are you comparing my times in CA to a EVO running at ATCO at night? LOL, thats a joke. If you haven't noticed he said he makes 505whp, I make more power then that, am lighter and and my traps are way higher. Maybe you should compare it to the 034 VR6 EVO first and then go from there.

Not like you have much to say seeing that stock turbo evo's will eat your car at the strip.

So your saying I can't run low 12's with a turbo that falls between a 3076 and a 35? I think I should be able to hang in there. I walk stock turno EVO's now.

Stock turbo evo's have been able to run 11's, even my friend ran 11.99 with a stock turbo at the old Fontana track and his wasn't even the fastest stock turbo evo.

Are we going to see you run at Waterfest?

Well I hope you dont have any trouble so we can see your car run at the event. If you went SB stage 5 FE you shouldn't have any problems breaking it in within a day or so. The 6 puck setups need no break in.

Correct. I wanted to take it to WF this year but with the cost of gas it would cost over $4000 to trailer it there and back. I even talked to Javad at 034 to see if they could trailer it with their car but they only have a single car trailer right now.
