    valve adjustment

    Has anybody done a valve adjustment. Ive never heard of anybody mentioning this. I thought that a valve adjustment should be done around the same time you change your timing belt. any words of wisdom on this would be highly appreciated.

    I've never heard of such a thing for the 1.8Ts.

    The only 'valve adjustment' I'm familiar with is adjusting rocker arm lash on a Chevy V8.

    Our car have hydraulic lifters, no adjustment needed.

    good to know. my buddy with an m3 was recommended to do it at 25-30k miles. and he also told me that he does it on his honda every 60k. he said he feels a significant differece after he gets it done. so i was just wondering if we needed to do it too. but i guess not and that's fine with me.
