Question Hmmmm, hope these wires aren't important...

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Does anyone know what the wires that run across the top of the drivers front fenderwell go to? They're kinda towards the back of the top, almost by where the sidemarker on the fender is and they're protected by a plastic casing.

I'm not throwing any codes, so that's good, but a couple of the wires are torn in half from being crushed by my steering tie rod from being so low.

    Thanks!

Yeah, everything works still and no air bag, CEL, traction control or any other lights or warnings on the dash.

Blown turbo... sorry to break the news.

Try your headlight washers to make sure they are operational. I mean, unless our cars were engineered with extra unessecary wiring i think you should find out exactly what it is

Where's Diagnosticator? I think he pretty much has the wiring diagram for the B6 memorized. LOL

I can't find anything that doesn't work yet, this is really bizarre.

Darrick i think those might be the speed sensor wires. They will usually throw a ABS light and code if they are damaged enough and will make your car choke when first trying to accelerate from a stop. Ive had to replace mine and it wasn't cheap...something like $200-$300.

That's what I was thinking it might be. Two or three of them are broken in half though and everything seems fine. Maybe I'll just solder them back together and reroute them to a safer area of the fender well.
