    Hyper Silver or Gun Metal?

I'm having some serious inner turmoil in my decision on wheels. I hoping the AZ community might help sway me one way or the other.

I already know I want 19" RS4 reps. But I really cant decide between Gun Metal or Hyper Silver.

Here is a pic for reference.

I am also having trouble choosing a color for the RS4 reps, this would help me too.

Another set of boring Rs4 reps.
How about solving your dilemma by getting a completely different wheel.
If you insist on sticking with the Rs4 rep im sure there are a few hundred people on this board that will show you each finish on their cars.

despite what you say about rs4 reps, they're good looking and not anymore common than bbs rims (LM reps anyone?) - either way, i was on the verge of copping a set of BBS CK's until i found out they cost 2x more and weighed the same (if not more) than the VMR's

show me a rim that looks as good for the same price

No doubt that the RS4 replica is a nice wheel, but it is not unique at all due to the fact that almost everyone and their grandma have it, so in a way it defeats the purpose of customizing, no?

My grandma has her set for sale. She said their played.

But seriously, no matter how common, they are very nice wheels for the price. Unfortunately, not everyone can afford $2500 to $3000 for wheels.

Get what ever makes you happy. I've only seen one other set in the Denver area, and Audi's are extremely common here. I see quite a few A4's everyday.

Obviously there will be a higher concentration of similar wheels on a model specific forum.

I really dont feel like getting into a discussion about Rs4 reps again but here is how I see things.
Sure Rs4 are cheap but so is their quality. If you want quality youre going to have to either...
    A. Spend a little more.
    or
    B. Buy used.
I was lucky enough to get an incredible deal on my wheels new but if I didnt I would have gone the used route and possibly powder coated.
But thats just me and if you like the Rs4 reps and can deal with cracking/peeling/poor quality than go ahead and pick some up.

I can tell im gonna get bombarded with people who disagree with me.
Thats fine. Im just stating my opinion. Its ok to disagree.

There are about 30,000 Audizine forum members worldwide of which maybe 26,000 are real/non-duplicates/active members. I'd figure 6,000~7,000 are B7 owners of which maybe 4,500 still own their cars. Figure that about 2,500 (roughly half) have bought aftermarket rims. Out of those, 300-350 tops have B7 RS4 reps (and these figures are liberal).

Guess how many *NEW* B7 A4's were sold in the PAST 12 MONTHS (in the United States alone)? Approx. 50,000.

You can probably count on there being at least 175,000 - 200,000 of these cars, total, on the road today in the U.S.

According to my guestimates, that means about 0.015% of all USA B7's have RS4 reps on the road today... and that doesn't take into account all the other mods you've done to your car. So either you have some really cool grandmas, or the only A4's you see are on the forums

Not really if you like the wheel and don't care what other people think.

'diff strokes for 'diff folks, i guess. i do like your champions, but atm, i can't justify dropping more than 2+ grand on cosmetic rims for my car.

i've seen and heard of $3,000 rims getting bent and curbed - at least the reps are cheaper to replace. i wonder how many people, in real-life, look at my rims and think, "hm, well those rims sure are low quality"

Some people do say that, some don't. The point of fixing up a car shouldn't be to impress others, it should be to make the car the way you like it and an extension of yourself. It's unfortunate that people do it as a mark of their status and to promote their image.

It's one thing to say a rim is low quality and you shouldn't put it on your car because it won't last long compared to those that say you should pay more and get a name brand wheel. In the end it should be based on your own budget and what you can afford to lose if something were to happen in the future.

I agree with muffinman's points but its tough to recommend the Rs4 reps (even though they look good) because they are common on here and I like some originality. Bottom line- VMR is making a killin on those

Shit, you're good with math But seriously, I see quite a few Audis with RS4 wheels here in Chicago. Last week, I saw a silver B6 A4 avant in the Whole Foods parking lot downtown and just few days ago, a white S4 parked on LaSalle Street street near my condo building, both with RS4 wheels. They're common. Probably more on forums than on the street, but still not unique.

Hrm, there he goes again....... Ever heard of the ole saying "If you don't have something useful to say.......then keep your arrogant, stupid F'ing mouth shut?" If you haven't, I'd highly suggest taking it in to consideration.....

As for the OP and his question, I'd go w/ the Hyper Silver, although for some reason I can't picture what it'd look like in my head, silver-on-silver. Despite his asshole comment, MOFSteel is right, these wheels are pretty common and there SHOULD be non-photoshop pics of either finish on a silver B7 floatin' around. Good luck!

I went with gunmetal on my B6 Amulet red. They are supposed to come in at the end of the month. In my opinion Hypersilver would look better on your car.
