I was on my way to go out to dinner with the misses when i roll my window down to talk to someone down the street and try to roll it back up and hear a loud crunch. The window goes up about 1/2" and thats about it. Tried a couple more times to no avail. Figured it was supposed to rain in a few hours so i should try to get the car home in the garage before the daily downpour starts...
Get on the onramp only to feel the car go into "limp mode". The RPM's jump and i get flashing CEL. I pull it over and turn it off and back on, the RPM's are jumping between 700-500 RPM's so i shut it off and call AOA because im about 30 miles from my house and anyone with an audi who could assist (BFE).
It wouldn't have been so bad, but while waiting for the towtruck driver i see the sky start to darken behind me...not good. The tow truck guy get there and loads it up as quick as possible, but its starting to sprinkle already. We get off at the next exit and get a trash bag from a gas station to put over the door, only to have it blow off 3 miles down the highways again. By this point we are getting right into the storm, it looks like theres a clearing between the fronts, so he guns it to about 95 (with no weight on the front tires ). Just as we seem to be out of it it crosses over the highway and the A4 gets the brunt of it.
Luckliy it wasnt raining sideways (like it usually does down here) so the interior wasnt too bad, so i just toweled it off. When i got to the dealer there was an Audi rep waiting after hours to get my car into a bay (this was thursday night, so it would have sat outside until tomorrow).
All in all i was pleased with AOA and the dealer here, and im hoping everything is covered under warranty.
BTW my mileage is 49,500. LOL
then again im CPO anyways, so it dont matter much. :p
