Auto-levelling/adaptive headlights?

Still figuring out which features my car came with (or even exist for my year/model). How do I know if my car auto-leveling headlights? I got confused searching for this, as there's implications that some move up/down only, others move left/right also, etc. I don't expect I should have it, but want to be sure -- is there an easily visible motor somewhere?

It's easy.

When you get in and turn the car over, and the headlights move = adaptive headlights.

If not = no adaptive headlights.

Auto leveling moves up and down, but that doesn't tell you anything about the adaptive headlights right? Mine move up and down when I start the car, but I don't think that they're adaptive, ie. they don't move left to right. How would you know in that case?
And I thought that the adaptive headlights were not available on the B6? Only the B7.

I have the adaptive lighting on mine. Self leveling is apparent when you turn on the car. Adaptive is apparent (to me at least) when turning.

I can get them to move left and right by simply driving at low speeds and moving the wheel back and forth. Watch the outer edge of the light pattern and you will see it adjust for the cars movement.

If you really want it verified what options you have, take your VIN to a dealer or AoA and have them print off the list of options codes (also in your spare tire well) so you can sort it out officially.
