A/C still blowing warm afte 3 attempts to fix!!

It sux to be me right now..After 3 attempts at the dealer within the last 9 months to re-charge the air-con..its blowing warm air again!! I took delivery of my 2.0 back on Feb' 2006..the a/c worked fine up until October 2007..took it to Penske Audi..great guys and they have resolved a few prior issues with no prob..i was told way back then they could not find any fault codes when VAGing and when adding "blue dye" to the system..they couldn't find any leakage..refrigerant was added and I was good to go..within 5 days it started blowin' warm air. I didnt use the AC during our "winter" here in So Cali and didnt return to the dealership until Feb 2007..exact same outcome..within a week the refrigerant obviously is escaping somewhere and its warm azz air..left it alone then i finally freed up some time to return to Penske 2 weeks ago..u guessed it..computer shows no probs with A/C..no visible blue-dye ...and its holding the charge during their 1/2 hour leak test...WTF can it be??? Any leads as to what part within a/c system they should suspect?? Evaporator/condensor?? Its 100 degrees now and no end in sight!!!!!..

If it's still under warranty leave it with them and tell them you don't want it back until it's fixed. Something is obviously wrong.

happen to me and the first day I got mine... took it back and they change a restrictor that went bad... ask them to take a look at that...

Normally I wouldn't go this route, but for once I have to agree with someone on here. You have to leave it with them. Your A/C is supposed to work...plain and simple. If not the car is a lemon and they owe you a new car (if that still applies). I know you say they've been good to you but you have to show how unsatisfied you are with the result of what has happened even though you are satisfied with their customer service. Good luck. If worst case take it to an A/C technician, but beware as some of these guys are out to get your money. P.S. You have to to run the A/C in the winter or else there's a part of the system that has to stay "moist" and will dry if you don't run it for long times at a time which would also cause a leak. Anyways, they need to fix it.

The condensor should be fine. Have you been in any fender benders at all?

only read the subject. if your vehicle goes in for service 3 times and it's still not fixed, lemon law applies. demand it be fixed on their dime or you get a new car. tell them if you get it back again with it not fixed, you'll be contacting your attorney.

My A/C would blow warm about a week after I got my A4. It turned out to be a faulty outside temperature sensor which made the A/C system think that it was winter out when it was 100 degrees outside, shutting off the compressor so it wouldn't freeze.

You may want to have them check the outside temp sensor. Does your cluster display the right outside temperature?

Once they replaced my outside temp sensor my A/C worked fine again...

lemon law if they can't fix it after 3 tries in NY. Check local laws in Cali!!
