    POP noise when on it

I am experiencing a loss in power when I apply the gas hard. Ill be in any gear and when I push the gas hard it hesitates and makes a pop noise coming from the front, this isnt back pressure from the exhaust its like the DV is leaking or something. I put a new DV on today, and it helped the problem but still there. Im not sure if its a boost problem or something more serious.

I would say your first thing to do is do a leak check see if your just dumping out boost. It might also be a backfire in the engine, how old are your plugs?

Re: POP noise when on it

no cel has come at all. when i apply enough gas i dont hear any sort of hiss sound resulting from a boost leak. It just seems like something bad will happen if I press too hard. I had an engine blow on me about a year ago in a diff audi because of a leaking head gasket that allowed coolant to seep into the cylinders so im just paranoid as well.
