Just posted a thread about my new 6 speed avant I have had it for about 2 months great car. I highly recommend the chip out of the gate but other mods can wait :).. The chip made the car for me, stock was just not enough(yes the chip makes that big of diff, best 700 bucks you will spend I would forgo and dealer options just to get chip. If you have further questions feel free to post or PM.

    Thread about the pros/cons:

I love my car not one issue 7months into my ownership. My dad has his RS4 for a year with not one problem and had his A6 4.2 for 7 years before that with not one unscheduled in service date.

I absolutely love my A4. Definately get it chipped though. There is nothing else quite like it and i wouldnt trade it for anything other than another audi.

Re: Opinion on Audi A4 2.0 TFSI Quattro 6Speed

I am pretty new to the forum, but here's my .02...I just picked up an Ibis White, '08 A4 2.0T 6MT Quattro S-Line w/ Titanium Package, back in mid-May. This is already one of my favorite car purchases...ever. Now, it is not perfect, as there are a few things I wish Audi would have done differently(aka...flattish seats, no HID's standard, no Ipod adapter standard, etc...), but all in all, it's a hot little car, and the mod potential is just ridiculous!

I had a tune installed the fourth day I had the car(went with REVO, due to their being the closest dealer), and as was previously mentioned, it makes a world of difference, with little to no degradation in fuel economy(dependant upon your right foot of course). I got 370 miles of combined city/highway driving on my last tank, and consistently average anywhere from 22-24 combined mpg(with an admittedly heavy foot).

The car just has a nice, upscale yet sporty, look and feel to it. The interior is fantastic in terms of fit, finish, and attention to detail that Audi is so well known for(the S-Line steering wheel and RS4 pedals are frickin' sweet!). The audio system is also very nice IMO, especially for a factory set-up. The build quality is remarkable, as there are no squeaks and rattles, and it sounds as though you are being sealed in a vacuum when you close the doors. All in all, the car is just an absolute pleasure to drive, wheteher you leave it stock, or decide to personalize/mod it to your heart's content. Good luck with your decision.
