    battery issue maybe more

so the story starts with this past friday after i washed my car didnt leave lights on or anything like that while vacuming out and it was hard to turn over when i tried to crank it. i was then driving back to base and the battery light came on and i was only showing that i was getting about 10V of charge. so got back to base to drop off some things then went back to crank it and nothing. tried to turn over slightly but no go. had to roll and pop the clutch to get it going so i could make it to auto zone to get a battery which when checked had to be charged and rechecked. once it was charging it started to overflow with battery acid but i was able to get another one free. so got the new battery and it starts fine and everything then today after driving a while the battery light came back on so im shooting torward alternator or possible solinoid not sure maybe i can get some feed back. i really dont have resourses on base here to do it myself or i would if its just alternator and dont know of any shops in the groton ct area any help would be appreciated

Not a mechanic but. It's common for an alternator and a battery to fail at the same time..mostly because a bad battery can toast an already weak alternator..I'd say get the battery charged up then test the alternator..

Yes. Go to autozone and have them test it for you.
