Installed some BKR7E-11 Spark plugs... Power loss?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I installed these plugs a little while ago, gapped them properly and whatnot, and now my butt dyno is telling me I am not pulling as hard.
What could be causing this? Would it be obvious to me if I was constantly misfiring? I though it would me.

Maybe I am imagining it all.

    Help.

the s11 at the end means its the longer threaded version... you need the bkr7e NOT s11

I thought the BKR7e's should be changed like every 3k?
I was about to buy new ones, should I? I have ran them for 3k, should I recheck the gap (what should it be at .32?)

lol, I was just kidding. My last run at the track a few weeks ago was on the same plugs that were still in the car from when I ran back in Sept last year, someone even told me they looked fouled when trying to figure out why my oil was foaming up. I run the bosch F6DTC plugs which are $4 each.

I read that the Bosch F6DTC can run up to 25k before needing to change. Hey Mike, is there is a certain franchise that carry those plugs. I had to order mine and Autozone and Autoparts does not carry them.

No. You can get them from 034, Eurocode or if your on the east coast RockAuto. I was looking into buying a case of them at one point, still need to since I always need spares.

Re: Installed some BKR7E-11 Spark plugs... Power loss?

Well I regapped... They were at around .035ish before gapping.
So this could be why I am experiencing less power? The gas isn't combusting properly because the plug is seated too deep into the cylinder because the threads are too long?

I run bkr6e on my gtrs, gapped at .028. I think that its recommended that you change copper plugs every ~5k, so i just do it with oil changes (failing plugs really are really noticable my gtrs). Also, I hear that they will never seal up as tight if you remove them to inspect them, and put them back in. I'm not entirely sure if that is true, anybody else ever hear the same thing? Also, I torque them to 22.5 psi.

Brandonp, Why are you using 7RE's? What are you mods? I've personally had bad luck with 7RE's. I've had better luck 6RE's.
