window regulator covered under warranty? please help

last nite went to roll up the window and it wouldnt go, it just moved a little bit and made a crunching sound. WTF! I'm actually really dissappointed that a virtually newish audi can fail like this, anyways does anyone know if this is covered? thanks in advance

Should be under warrenty. If not i would bitch up a storm because thats what warrenty is for. Don't be surprised though that it went out. Your car is an 06. I work for a GM dealer here and i've seen regulators go out on 08 Escalades already. Its no surprise to see how craply made vehicles are made these days. Yes it is an american car, but you catch my drift. I've had problems with a squeeking noise that sounds like leather rubbing together around my IPC and the Audi side of my shop has yet to solve the problem.

yes, mine was replaced under warranty b/c my drivers window would creak everytime i opened/closed it

Hey Man, my question to you, has that window ever been broken? My R32 was broken into for the radar(smash/grab) was replaced but there were apparently little shards of glass in the door fram, and they worked them selves into motor and was the same sound you got before mine went down, dealer wouldn't cover it.... anyway good luck!

thanks for all the feedback, yea i couldve called the dealer but its the weekend, and the whole crunching noise is there, but my window has never been broken, all i know is that its 110 plus degrees by day and at least 95 at nite, so its quite a suffer, not to mention my car is getting filthy because i cant wash it. Do you think my system could be the cause? i have two kicker cvr's nothing special but it hits hard, and maybe all the vibrations caused it? or do regulators just...go out?

i've had 2 go out. drive side made a cruching sound too because window got off track.
both got fixed quickly and freely :)
