    burning oil

just installed a gpop rebuilt k03 with k04 upgrade and VMR test pipe. I'm getting a loud noise at startup, kinda sounds like a sqweaky fan belt, but it's coming from the turbo. I've also noticed a few puffs of blue smoke after letting the car sit and ideal.

    Bad turbo or maybe?

    ??

Running lean because of the TP and no adjustment with the chip tune?

    IDK, it's just a guess...

How's the rebuilt turbo though? I've been considering one myself so I wonder what your impressions are.

did the ko3 fail, and did you replace the oil feed and drain lines to the turbo? When i worked at nissan i had a passat that came in on trade that has a bad turbo and they had me replace it, the intercooler was full of oil was such a mess.

    Re: burning oil

No we didn't replace the either of the oil lines. Should these be replaced, or can I take them off and clean them out? I'm wondering if the turbo just isn't getting enough oil flow when the car starts.

Car doesn't sound like it's running lean, no pinging noise. Haven't taken the car past 4K rpms since the software hasn't been tuned for the upgrade yet. That should be happening monday or tuesday.
