Here is the rundown of my dealings with my2000APB; let this be a warning to everyone.
25 May- I inquired about purchasing a set of 5 17” Celebration wheels and I was quoted a price of $425 shipped. Here’s the original post: http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php?t=213200.
26 May- I accepted his offer and made arrangements to pay him through PayPal.
27 May- I wired $425 to his PayPal account.
28 May- I received a message from him saying that the wheels would be shipped on 29 or 30 May.
4 June- After going a week with no wheels or a tracking number, I sent a message asking for the tracking number. He replied that he would send it later that night.
8 June- I sent another message asking for proof of shipping by the next day. I was told he would send the tracking number on 9 June.
10 June- After waiting an extra day hoping he would come through, I opened a dispute on PayPal.
17 June- I was “issued” a refund for the full $425. Even though he refunded the money, I was not able to access it until it cleared. He reposted the wheels seen here: http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php?t=218430. Note that he “much preferred” a local pickup but was willing to ship.
27 June- The dispute was ruled in my favor. PayPal recovered $77.62, leaving me out about $350. I sent yet another message asking for either the wheels or the balance he owed. I have not heard from him to this day, even though he’s still listing items for sale on AZ.
I still have a few avenues remaining to recoup the $350 he still owes. Even if I do, it’s cost me a lot of time and aggravation, not to mention that I’m still searching for a set of wheels. If for whatever reason you choose to do business with my2000APB, proceed with caution.
