I dont know if you all have thought about it, but I wanted to run a TP but GIAC software will throw a CEL. After much debate that has gone on here regarding the difference between a HFC/TP. Well I have found a company that makes a HFC named Random Technology. They make a 300 cell count HFC for ~$320 that I purchased and had installed today. Well so far I have ~75 miles on it and no CEL. I think that this is a good option for those who have emissions and dont want to change out their cat one a year for the test. The cat has an excellent fit and finish. There are not seams between the flanges and the pipe. Its welded and smoothed out for great flow. Everything fit right in like a glove.

So if your looking for a HFC without a CEL or trying to install anti-foulers, I would recommend getting one of these.

Give it a few hundred miles and give us an update I have one from tantremwerks and I didn't have a CEL for 400 miles. And then I reset it but now 1 year later if It comes on every 30 miles if I reset it.

I will keep tabs on it. A CEL is something that annoys the crap out of me. Random Technology also says that their cats can pass even in California. Worst case scenario, Techtonics tuning is producing a B6 HFC that is supposed to be out in the next few weeks for around the same price of $320. That will be my backup.

What a pain! That is when I think it would have almost been better to go with Revo. Almost. I do wish that there was a little more manipulation to be had with GIAC. Other than that I really like them. I am still waiting for something to run a BT on GIAC. Or can it be done with the 93+ file?

Well to my sad dismay, it came on. The CEL in all its anoying glory. I guess I will be waiting till Techtonics Tuning comes out with theirs and give theirs a shot.

I had really high hope for this one too. About 130 miles in I got the light. How frustrating. REVO is looking very good right now.
