i have a 2000 s4, it is suspected to be lowered but i dont know the history of the car due to the fact it was bought from my boys family who didnt know to much about it, but there are no obvious markings on anything and i have a few buddies who have s4's that say its lowered to so we all agree it is, but what will i need to do specially when i do these control arms? is there anything i need to do or get because of the fact its lowered

No everything oem, just find out weather you have aluminum uprights or steel early 2000s came with aluminum which I believe came with different control arms. You can find out by running the vin at the dealer.

I believe the control arms are the same...but your right about the steel and aluminum difference, but they are the same fitment. Just make sure you pre-load them when you tighten the bolts back up (place a jack under the wheel till where the control arms will normally sit then tighten)

Actually I found on lower control arms that aluminum ones have thicker heads on the joins. I was going to put one on my car before and found it to be thicker, because it was off a early 2000.

yeah thats what ive been hearing, about the differences between steal and aluminum, when i ordered the kit they ran my vin and everything to get the right ones i guess...i also read that you have to preload them to riding height before everything is tightened up....i plan on buildin a block thatt itcan come to rest on when i lower the jack that way i can get it almost exact
