HELP HELP I FUCKED Up...horror car wash story :[

Hey everyone,

I just fucked myself over by using a hand towel to dry it. Now my car has paint swirls and scratches all over the entire body of the car.
I was thinking of using a claybar and some wax to try and polish it out, but I do not know if it is good enough to do the job. Another alternative would be to use a buffer, some scratch x, wetsand, and some wax.

That would be one alternative. My other alternative would be to go to an autodetailer in the nearby Walnut/Valley/Diamond Bar... area (within 30 miles will be excellent). Im not sure the price range for detailers but I was hoping it would be in the $100 - $200 area. If anybody could give me some tips on fixing this problem or a recommendation for a local detailer, that would be great

compound takes out a lot of those swirls too...did wonders on the top of my trunk

Just waxing it will do very little if nothing...wax is a protective coating, not a scratch remover. Wetsanding is not necessary...at all...ScratchX is great...for small areas only...if you were to do a whoel car...it would take a long time...

Listen to 2Putt...but I vote option 3...an auto detailer...if your asking for scratch/swirl removal...on average its $50-$70/hr...depending on area...and it would take a good 6 hours if not longer.

I can find you a local detailer as well...let me know your area...i'm sure i know someone near you...

I would definitely take it to a pro. Not a chance you'll be able to find someone to do paint correction for $100- $200.
